Super austenitic stainless steel (904L stainless steel plate) is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content, which has good corrosion resistance in dilute sulfuric acid and is designed for harsh corrosion conditions. The addition of copper gives it strong acid resistance, especially to chloride interstitial corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, making it highly resistant to corrosion spots and cracks.
